Chicken in Red Wine

Was tired of eating tandoor starters. Wanted to try something a little spicy but also with a lot of zing.

So here is chicken with an Italian twist. Turned out really well.....

I have used port wine. The regular red wine could be used but you might need to add a little sugar to it.

So Hic Hic Hurray!!!!!!!


500 gms               Chicken    
1 cup                    Red Wine  
1 tsp                     Mixed Italian Herbs   

1 tsp                     Chilli Flakes               

1 tsp                     Ginger Garlic paste  

1/2 tsp                  Namak Shamak        

2 tbsp                   Oil                                


Marinate the Chicken in ginger garlic paste and the red wine. Add the chilli flakes, mixed herbs and salt.

Leave the marinade for 1/2 an hour.

Heat the Oil in a pan. Add the marinated Chicken and cook till the wine dries up.

Garnish with Spring Onions.

Serve with Olive Bread.
