Chatpate Sprouts Kabab

I was dying to eat something chatpata and spicy..... and at the same time avoid outside food. Quite a feat!!! Because the roadside food always taste good during the rains. Hmmmm those hot spicy vada pavs and samosas. But.....decided to control myself for the sake of health.

So I decided to go through my kitchen pantry trying to find something that could be useful to satisfy my cravings. No subzis in the fridge..... ofcourse it was Saturday!!!! I shop for veggies on Sundays. So what now? There were some sprouts ready for making usal but then what the hell..... usal can wait. Decided to try something new. And it turned out really good..... Try for yourself. Purrrfect......for a wet rainy day with a cup of hot garma garam ginger tea.

Ingredients:

1 bowl              Mixed Sprouts ( you can use any combination, I used moth, moong and chavli)
1                       Onion
1 inch               Ginger
1/2 tsp              Dhania Powder
1/2 tsp              Jeera Powder
1/4 tsp              Haldi
1 tsp                 Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp              Chaat Masala
1 tsp                 Namak Shamak
1 tsp                 Garam Masala
2 slices             Bread
5 to 6                Curry Patta leaves
1/2 cup             Coriander leaves
 Oil for frying

Method:

Grind the Sprouts coarsely without water and remove in a bowl.

Chop the ginger, curry patta and the onion finely.

Soak the bread slices in water and squeeze the water and mash them up.

Mix the sprouts mixture with the bread. Add the chopped ginger, curry patta, onion, garam masala, chaat masala, haldi powder, chilli powder, dhania powder, jeera powder, coriander leaves and the salt. Knead it all together.

Make round kababs and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.

You can also add pudina leaves if you like. Also you can substitute bread with besan.
