Mirchi Cha Thecha

This is amongst the few things that shall bring tears in your eyes and give you a run for water….but you would still dare to take yet another smack for it!!
Fiery hot, flavourful and a perfect companion for your bhakari, rotla or chapati…whatever you want to enjoy it with!!
Bajari chi Bhakari ani Mirchi cha Thecha ani Phodlela Kanda (bajara roti with mirchi thecha and broken peeled onion) …this is the staple of farmers here in Maharashtra….a standard lunch ,eaten after a days hard work in the farm!
Ever tried eating the above combination??? Truly delicious and satisfying!!

Ingredients:
4-8 Green Chillies,slit
3-5 Cloves Garlic
1 tsp Peanuts, roasted and coarsely ground
½ tsp Salt
2-3 Wooden skewers
½  tsp oil
Grease the chillies and garlic with some oil.
Make sure you have slit the green chillies, else they might burst during roasting on flame.
Thread the green chillies and garlic through the wooden skewers( skewers have to be soaked in water for 5 mins,to prevent them from catching fire)
Roast them directly over the gas flame , turning on all sides for 1-2 mins.

Cool them and pound them in mortar and pessel to form a coarse mixture.

Transfer in a bowl and add crushed peanuts and salt.
Mix together and add oil to it.

Serve with hot Bajara or Jowar Bhakaris or Chapatis.
