Crisp Fried Pomfret



Finally got some Pomfrets. Not very big though but will do. Getting fresh pomfrets can be really challenging..especially during summers.

And for a seafood lover like me life without fish is so boring.....

So fish fry it is.



Ingredients:


2 nos      Pomfrets

2 tsp      Ginger /Garlic paste   

1 tsp      Lemon / Vinegar         

1 tsp     Chili Powder              

1/2 tsp  Turmeric                     

1 tsp     Namak Shamak        

1 tsp     Coriander Powder    

1/2 tsp  Pepper Powder        

1/2 tsp  Jeera Powder           


4 tsp     Besan  


1/2 cup Rice flour

Oil to fry




Method:

Prepare the marinade by mixing lemon juice or vinegar, turmeric, chili powder, salt and ginger garlic paste.

Add the fish to the marinade and leave it for at least an hour.

You can marinate the fish in the morning and prepare it in the evening.

At the time of frying add coriander powder, jeera powder, pepper powder to it.





Take besan and rice flour in separate plates.



Now roll the pomfret first in the besan and then in the rice flour.



Fry in oil on both the sides till crisp.

The lemon juice reduces the fishy smell and the fish becomes crisp because of the besan and the rice flour.
