Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo



This one is a classic Italian dish. Alfredo is an Italian sauce made several ways. Alfredo Sauce is a delicious, creamy and velvety white sauce sometimes made with cheese and garlic.

Its very easy to make and it is a meal by itself.

Ingredients:

1 cup        Bite sized chicken pieces
2 cups      Fettuccini
1/2 cup     Milk
2 tsp         Finely chopped garlic
1 tsp         Maida
1/2 tsp      Namak Shamak
1 tsp         Mixed Italian Herbs
1 tsp         Finely chopped green chillies
2 tsp         Olive Oil
1/2 cup     Grated Cheese (preferably Parmesan)

Method:

Boil water in a pan and add the fettuccini to it. Cook till al dente. Drain the pasta and drizzle a little olive oil over it.



In another pan, heat the olive oil. Now add the chopped garlic and chopped chillies. Saute and then add the chicken pieces. Cover and cook till the chicken is cooked. Now add the Maida and saute for 3 to 4 mins. Pour the cold milk and stir till the sauce thickens. Add the salt, the herbs and a half of the grated cheese. Now add the fettuccini and mix in the creamy sauce.


Serve garnished with the remaining cheese.
