Now these can be called hotdogs or seekhs depending on what you want them to be!!!!!
I have been meaning to make these for a long time now, but my kiddos exams and now diwali shopping and cleaning made it difficult for me to take the time out.
Since soya granules are a rich source of protein and fibre I decided to combine it with calcium rich paneer and instead of using the regular besan I have used roasted chana dal which is light and easy to digest.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Soya granules
1 cup Paneer
1/2 cup Roasted chana dal (ground to powder)
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Dhania Powder
1/2 tsp Haldi Powder
1 tsp Chilli Powder
3 tsp Cornflour
1 tsp Namak Shamak
2 Hot Dog buns
Oil for frying
Cucumbers, Tomatoes and Cheese for garnish
Method:
Soak the soya granules in warm water for 5 mins. Squeeze the water out and spread on a plate. Now add the paneer, roasted chana dal powder, garam masala, dhania powder, haldi, red chilli powder, cornflour and the salt. Mix till all the ingredient are fully incorporated. Roll them like seekh and fry till golden brown. Drain on a kitchen towel.
Cut the hot dog bun. You can apply butter or mayonnaise or even peanut butter. Place the hot dog and add mustard and ketchup. Serve topped with cucumber, tomatoes and cheese. And yes... potato wafers are always welcome!!!!
