Crunchy Sausage Bread Rolls

Sausage are the best form of quick snack. They can be grilled , boiled , tossed in a salad , or simply enjoyed with bun , in the form of hot dogs...Sausages are said to have originated from Frankfurt , Germany , hence they are also called Frankfurters, though there are many places in the western world who claim to be their place of origin.
Though I love hot dogs , I somehow wanted to experiment it with whatever I had at home.
And so was this quick crunchy snack created...

Ingredients:

3-4 Medium size Chicken Sausages ( I have used Venky's chicken chilly sausages)
3-4 slices of white or brown bread ( I have snipped of the hard corners)
1 tsp oil
2-3 tsp Butter
2 cubes Processed Cheese
2 tsp chopped Garlic
3 tsp Chilly flakes
Namak Shamak
3 tsp cornflour mixed with water to make a paste
1 small Onion sliced
1 small Capsicum sliced

Method:

Heat oil in a an and toss the sausages along with 1 tsp garlic and chilly flakes and a pinch of salt .
Once the sausages are cooked, transfer them in a plate
Mix remaining garlic and chilly flakes with the butter and apply over the slice bread.

Place the sausages diagonally across the bread with the buttered side out and gently fold the bread and seal the edges with the cornflour paste.
Now roast them on a non stick pan on a low flame till golden.( you dont need any oil to roast , due tothe garlic butter applied over the bread)

Alternately you can also bake it in preheated oven at 200 deg celcius for 10-15 mins

Top the rolls with sliced onions and capsicum and put grated cheese over it and grill in the oven till cheese melts.

Serve with Tomato ketchup. Also goes well with vegetable mayonaise salad.
